🔒 Your token never leaves your browser. Decoding is done entirely in JavaScript — no server involved.

What is a JWT?

A JSON Web Token (JWT) is a compact, URL-safe token format used to securely transmit information between parties. JWTs consist of three Base64url-encoded parts separated by dots: Header (algorithm and token type), Payload (claims and data), and Signature (verification).

JWT in RPA & automation

  • Inspecting OAuth 2.0 bearer tokens used in UiPath HTTP Request activities
  • Debugging API authentication issues in automation workflows
  • Checking token expiry before making API calls to avoid 401 errors
  • Verifying claims and scopes in service-to-service authentication
  • Inspecting UiPath Orchestrator API tokens and their permissions
